Story of teh Day 4/ 3/ 2009

Aaron has decided that he is going to take an ASL class, next fall, when he is a college student at Ball State.
He announced this to Sarah, thinking that she would be thrilled that he is making a real attempt to improve his signing skills , so that he can communicate more smoothly with her.
She gave him a look of horror, “But you will probably be the only guy in the class, it will be all girls!”
Aaron, after a very brief silence, responded, “Actually, I have no problem with that.”

Story of teh Day 4/ 1/ 2009

My husband had a long day at work.
He also had a bit of a surprise.
This afternoon, a new patient who had driven quite a distance to see him pulls out acopy of his book. Well, his and Campy’s book.

This is what he wrote to Campy:

I was seeing my 1 PM new patient yesterday, and she pulled out a copy of our book. I was so surprised that I blurted out, "where did you get that book?"
"I bought it on Barnes and Noble dot com," she replied.
I thought to myself, wow, someone actually bought one, but I kept that thought to myself. She decided to drive from north of Indy to my office in Greenwood (south of Indy), on the basis of the book. She was a nervous woman, that had already seen two other rheumatologists, but needed to be reassured again that she had osteoarthritis rather than rheumatoid arthritis. She claimed that her last rheumatologist didn't talk very much - not a star communicator I guess.

I asked him if she asked to have it autographed, but she didn’t.
